Glen Nevis Holiday Location
Beautiful Glen Nevis is close to the end of the West Highland Way at the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. This is a popular all year round holiday destination where you can enjoy climbing, skiing, walking, mountain biking, horse riding, canoeing, sailing, golfing, fishing and much more.
Location details:
- Fort William: where you can take a trip on the steam train to Mallaig, go for a cruise on Loch Linnhe, use the Gondola for access to the ski centre or just to walk and enjoy the views over the mountains.
- Day trips to Inverness, Oban, Skye and the small isles are very popular.
- The local Leisure centre where the family can enjoy all the facilities available including the swimming pool, sauna, jaccuzzi and indoor climbing wall.
- Glen Nevis is also well known for film locations such as 'Braveheart', 'Robroy', 'Rockface' and 'Harry Potter'

Both Glen Nevis cottage and Glen Mhor holiday house are ideal bases for sight-seeing and touring the Great Glen, the Road to the Isles and the Isle of Skye.

Ben Nevis, Britains highest mountain, the Nevis Range and the Glencoe mountains are all popular with climbing enthusiasts.
Walking -
Glen Nevis and the surrounding area have a number of Forest and Hill walks.
Skiing -
The Anoch Mhor ski centre is 6 miles from the cottage.
Mountain Biking -
this is a very popular sport with bikes and maps being available for hire from local shops.
Fishing -
both fresh and salt water fishing are available.
Cruises -
on Loch Linnhe and Loch Shiel.
Steam Train -
the Jacobite steam train travels between Fort William and Mallaig on the spectacular West Highland line.
Leisure Centre -
the Fort William leisure centre is within 1/4 mile of the cottage/ Restaurants, Pubs and shops - Fort William has a number of excellent facilities and is only 3/4 mile from the cottage.
West Highland Museuem -
this is worth a visit as it portrays the history of the area.
